How the Numbers Are Calculated
The model follows the standard mass-balance approach used in gold plant carbon management, based on Fleming (2011) and Mellifiq technical specifications:
- Gold in feed = Ore throughput × Head grade
- Gold adsorbed = Gold in feed × Recovery to carbon
- Carbon advance rate = Gold adsorbed / Carbon loading
- Attrition loss = Attrition rate × Ore throughput
- Regeneration loss = Advance rate × Regeneration loss
- Total make-up = Attrition loss + Regeneration loss
